Before even starting, I made sure to familiarise myself with the assignment brief made made a mental note on the requirements. Small details were taken note of such as the maximum use of 2-3 pages, and the A1-sized paper needed.
A Pool of Ideas

We first proposed a bunch of public spaces all around the world to do a case study on. There was Dilworth Park, Domino Park, Detroit Riverpark, Carnaby London, Belfast's Cathedral Gardens, etc.
Selection for Case Study

We finalised our decision to do a case study on Dilworth Park and Domino Park because they had very interesting interventions for Covid-10. These parks also had interesting activities and beautiful public spaces so we were very interested in doing a case study on them.
Designs and Tweakings

We split our work to research on both parks, and soon had all the information we needed. It was then converted into infographics in Canva and showed to our tutor. Our tutor mentioned that we needed to allocate a bigger space and emphasis on the Covid-19 intervention, and so we did illustrations and plan views for it.
The Public Space of Taylor's Lakeside Campus

After we were done with the case studies, we proceeded to brainstorm about the potential improvements for Taylor's public space. We chose the Roof Garden Breakout & Concourse. Brainstorming on the strategies was not easy, because none of us have been to campus for more than 10 times. However, I got help from my A-levels friends who went to campus frequently, as well as seniors who were in Taylor's before the pandemic started.
Infographics and Illustrations

As the ideas were original from our minds, there was no exact picture we could find on the internet that could depict our thoughts. Thus, I drew them out as illustrations for each strategy, showing what the public space would look like with our interventions.

Reflection
Lifelong Learning
I learned to be independent. I also became capable of locating, extracting, synthesising and utilising information effectively from the websites of the public spaces. There were tweakings needed here and there in our designs, and I've learned to be intellectually engaged whenever feedbacks were given.
Discipline Specific Knowledge
I've learned to do research on different public spaces around the world, and it opened my eyes to how they tackled the pandemic with the use of public spaces. I've also successfully learned to apply these knowledge into an original idea for Taylor's.
Global Perspectives
I was able to understand the value of public spaces, how the built environment is able to cure the pandemic indirectly. This power definitely opened my eyes into what one would depict as a "open piece of land". I now know what interventions has been done globally, and hope Malaysia will start doing too.
Digital Literacy
This assignment gave me an opportunity to learn Procreate, and I've definitely improved. It was also the first time we used Canva to design such a large sheet (A1-sized), which was quite insightful I must say.
Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
I learned to think critically and creatively when creating illustrations that would represent information and thoughts that would be difficult to be put intro words, especially for the part where we have to input our Covid-19 interventions.
Communication Skills
I've learned to communicate with my group members through texts and meetings. With this, we were able to work along each other well and finish the project with everyone feeling a part of the team.
Intrapersonal Skills
I've become capable of reflecting on my progress as a team member. I felt that I did my best, just like everyone else. Thinking back, I was self-reliant and carried my own weight as a team member.
Interpersonal Skills
I've learned to input my opinions in meetings and let the whole team be always informed, so everyone would share their thoughts and opinions in return. Our team members also communicated effectively and did their tasks mindfully so no team member had to rush theirs.
