Sketches

Sketches were a way for the team to communicate and get our ideas across within the team. It was also crucial as part of the design process. Attached is the Design Process Sketch Journal.

Test Models

Test models were made in order to experiment the form and structural integrity of the 1:1 bamboo structure. It was also used to study joinery details needed.  Scroll to the bottom-most of the attached journal for all test models.

Building Process

We took 2 weeks to build our structure. It was a fun and unforgettable hands-on experience.

Reflection

Perspective on
online learning

This module was done fully physically. We had online meetings in order to quicken progression in situations where we cannot physically be by each other in late night times. Online learning has truly taught us ways to work in a team in unfond situations

Self-Reflection on
the journey

This project was a very eye-opening as I've never build a 1:1 scaled structure before, much less in a big team. I've learned and appreciated physical labor, and teamwork.

Perspective on tutor and module coordinator

My module coordinator, Ar. Lim Wei Shan, was an amazing woman. My tutor was Ms. Rai. She loved talking to us and giving us advice in a stern yet inspiring manner. She also constantly reminded us to "not settle" when it comes to design thinking
